Czernity...the World's 1st All Faceted Cubic Zirconia Eternity Ring ™

Who we are

When we founded Czernity, our mission was to design an eternity ring made from a single gemstone. We wanted to create an elegant and refined design that was accessible to the jewelry lover in you.

This sounded easy enough but, oh, were we wrong! Our design process took several months and began with hours of drawing, erasing, discarding (we promise we wasted as little paper as possible in this process) and repeating, until we ultimately landed on a design that is the first of its kind.

Czernity...the World's 1st Faceted All Cubic Zirconia Eternity Ring™ . Why cubic zirconia? We believe cubic zirconia is a sustainable and affordable way to achieve the brilliance and beauty you deserve in a wearable ring.

Here are some of our favorite CZ attributes:

  1. Color. The high grade of cubic zirconia that we use in production produces gemstones in the Colorless to Near Colorless range.

  2. Dispersion. Dispersion, also known as "Fire", is the reflection of light off of the gemstone. Geologists use fire to describe a gemstone’s dispersive nature. A stone’s facets, polish quality, and lighting environment all contribute to its dispersive 'sparkle'. Little know fact: Cubic Zirconia actually produces more "Fire" than natural Diamonds.

  3. Clarity. Because Cubic Zirconia is made in a lab, the Clarity is at the pinacle of a gemstone versus that of a mined gemstone or diamond that can contain inclusions.

Our practice

Czernity rings are produced using the highest quality, lab grown cubic zirconia. Our process is as beautiful as it is labor intensive. We refine tube-like crystals (like the ones you see below) to create the design you see today. Our practice breaks down to three phases: laser cutting, faceting by a master craftsmen with over 40 years experience, and finally, hand polishing each facet to perfection.

Moh’s scale

Our rings are durable, but not indestructible! Cubic zirconia is an 8.5 on the moh’s scale: a scale that determines a mineral’s hardness and scratch resistance. Cubic zirconia falls just behind rubies and sapphires which are a 9 on the moh’s scale, and diamonds which are a 10. Scratching a Cznerity ring is nearly impossible since it will need to come in contact with something higher on the moh’s scale. For reference, a typical knife blade will fall between a 5 - 6.5 on the scale, and a steel file a 6.5.

CAUTION:  Just like any product, we have worn the Czernity rings for over a year now and have had no issues of scratching.  We have also done some stability testing and will advise you that if you drop your Czernity ring on the cement or hit it on a hard metal surface it willbreak or crack [it's sad we had to destroy a few rings to test this out, but we wanted to be sure how durable our rings are].  So please have fun and live your life in Czernity, but take it off when you go mountain climbing, working out at the gym, and be sure to put it back in its velvet pouch when not wearing.

Carat size

The carat size of a Czernity ring varies by the actual Ring size.   A larger ring uses more cubic zirconia and therefore a larger carat amount. All of our rings range from 41-50 carats each.

Our gratitude

We have a passion for jewelry design that we will continue to pursue. As we grow, our goal as a company is to consistently provide high end, sustainable products at an affordable price. We hope you enjoy Czernity as much as we do!
